EP Vice President: Yulia Tymoshenko’s release crucial to EU-Ukraine relations

Vice President of the European Parliament Jacek Protasiewicz says that former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s release from prison is key to fixing relations between Ukraine and the European Union, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"Relations between Ukraine and the EU are deadlocked. But the key to resolving this problem is in the hands of the Ukrainian authorities. The release of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is key to fixing these relations," Jacek Protasiewicz said during a meeting with Oleksandr Turchynov and Hryhoriy Nemyria.

The representatives of Batkivshchyna discussed with him the political situation in Ukraine in the context of the parliamentary elections scheduled for October.
