Eugenia Tymoshenko, daughter of imprisoned former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, doubts Viktor Yanukovych’s regime will allow her mother to get proper medical care, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"The foreign doctors issued their preliminary diagnosis and while they are preparing their full recommendations and diagnosis, the Ministry of Health in Ukraine continue manipulating and falsifying the diagnosis like they have for all these three months," Eugenia Tymoshenko said in an interview on the BBC’s HARDtalk.

She said it was very hard to get independent foreign doctors to see Yulia Tymoshenko. "I thank the western leaders and politicians for helping organize my mother’s independent examination," she said.

Eugenia Tymoshenko stressed that her mother’s health is in bad condition. "Her health is getting worse and it has been since her arrest. She isn’t getting any medical treatment. She is being tortured with 24-hour video surveillance and light," she said.

"The accusations against her are absurd. She is being persecuted because she is Yanukovych’s main opponent," Eugenia Tymoshenko said, emphasizing that her mother was imprisoned because of her battle against corruption and Yanukovych’s regime.
