When completed, the new law on the land market should guarantee the effective use of agricultural land, President Viktor Yanukovych told in an interview with journalists Yevhen Kyselyov, Savik Shuster, and Andriy Kulykov, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.
"We need to ensure that this law guarantees the effectiveness of agricultural land use," he said, adding that the draft law has been made a number of amendments to.
The President noted that in such socially important topics as the land reform, public opinion should be taken into account. "I am strongly against ignoring the opinions of people when making such strategic decisions," he said.
Among other topics brought up during the interview were staffing changes in the Government, future Verkhovna Rada elections, Ukrainian-Russian relations, etc.
