President Viktor Yanukovych is sure Ukraine and Cuba have reached a new level of their relations, he said at a meeting with Vice President of the Council of Ministers Marino Murillo, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.
Viktor Yanukovych said that the agreements reached during his state visit to Cuba last October, have surely contributed to the development of cooperation between the two countries. "During the negotiations we reached important agreements, whose implementation is under my personal supervision. I hope the governments of both Ukraine and Cuba will ensure the effective implementation of these agreements too," he added.
The President moreover noted that in accordance with the reached agreements he signed a decree to provide the Cuban people with humanitarian aid.

Raul Castro is welcomed to visit Ukraine in 2012. According to him, the visit will be an important step in the context of further strengthening the friendly Ukrainian-Cuban relations.
