President Viktor Yanukovych has signed the Law 4381-VI amending the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Legal Status of Ukrainians Living Abroad’, expanding the rights of Ukrainians living in other states, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.
Among the changes made to the Law ‘On the Legal Status of Ukrainians Living Abroad’ is the introduction of provisions allowing Ukrainians who have such a status to work at Ukrainian enterprises, institutions, and organizations or pursue on par with the citizens of Ukraine; introduction of annual higher education facilities admission quotas for Ukrainians living abroad; canceling of validity time for the certificate of a Ukrainian living abroad (previously, the certificate was valid for 10 years requiring re-registration), etc.
