President Viktor Yanukovych believes Ukraine would hold the European Football Championship at a decent level, he said at a meeting with French journalists visiting Ukraine to learn about our preparations for EURO 2012, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.

"The EURO 2012 organizers, international organizations, the UEFA, all the managers from Ukraine have done everything for the competition to happen. We have no doubt that it will," Viktor Yanukovych said. He called EURO 2012 both an honor and a serious test for Ukraine.

The President also said that worthy preparation for the championship requires not only financial investments, but also compliance with certain standards. "Ukraine is ready," he said, adding that that the cost of all works to prepare for EURO 2012 was about 35 billion hryvnyas.

Viktor Yanukovych also stressed that the infrastructure built for EURO 2012 will continue serving future generations.
