Agreement with Ukraine not to be ratified so far - Guido Westerwelle

An agreement on association with the EU can not be ratified so far taking into consideration the current political situation in Ukraine.

Guido Westerwelle an importance of preserving of contacts with Kyiv

According to Deutsche Welle,  Foreign Minister of Germany Guido Westerwelle said this.

The situation around ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and members of her government will have direct consequences for relations between Kyiv and EU countries.

Guido Westerwelle said that Germany and other countries of the EU have a united point of view concerning this situation.

At the same time the German Minister is against debate concerning deprivation of Ukraine of the right for carrying out of the European football championship.
