Victor Yushchenko is glad the ‘orange’ forces have almost finished their talks to form a coalition. The President appreciates their willingness to carry out foreign and domestic policies he outlined in this year’s address to the Verkhovna Rada, according to the President’s press-office.

However, he is slightly upset they have not compromised on the land issue. He is convinced Ukraine will lose many economic chances if it fails to settle it.

Their coalition agreement says  our country will actively cooperate with NATO but does not say it will join the organization. He believes this point sounds “quite vague.” 

Mr. Yushchenko also insists that the agreement should clearly describe the structure and principles of government and governmental committees.

He expects the negotiators to be responsible and hopes they will keep their promise to compromise by June 7.
