7 million 153 thousand signatures of citizens have been collected all over Ukraine for carrying out an all-Ukrainian referendum concerning the new edition of the Constitution.

BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko said this on Monday at a news conference in Rivne.

According to the BYuT press service, Yu. Tymoshenko said that the Bloc is ready to submit the signatures to President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, and “he, following article 72 of the Constitution of Ukraine, has a right to issue a decree for carrying out an all-Ukrainian referendum”.

As it is known, the BYUT proposes to put 9 issues on the referendum, including the form of rule, the nationwide election of judges, canceling immunity for leaders of state, judges and parliament members, strengthening struggle with corruption, etc.
