Nobel Peace Prize Aung San Suu Kyi has expressed her solidarity and support for former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, according to Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"Yulia Tymoshenko is a very strong woman. I know about her struggle against the authoritarian regime in Ukraine and, therefore, am expressing my support with the political prisoner and wish her the strength to overcome all the obstacles on Ukraine’s path to democracy. I believe in her victory," Aung San Suu Kyi said during a meeting with Yulia Tymoshenko’s daughter Eugenia in Paris.

Eugenia Tymoshenko thanked Aung San Suu Kyi for her support and stressed that her mother "won’t back down from her fight in spite of all the harassment and pressure."
