Lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko says the authorities are pressuring doctors s to conclude that Yulia Tymoshenko is fit to stand trial so that they can convict the ex-premier a second time before her case is considered by the European Court of Human Rights, according to Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"The experts, understanding that the examination was ordered illegally and that the questions they are being asked go beyond their competence, are simply refusing to prepare the documents. Right now they are under major pressure," said Serhiy Vlasenko.

According to him, the Kyivsky District Court of Kharkiv, which is hearing the case involving United Energy Systems of Ukraine, after two weeks hasn’t obtained the desired conclusions because of the experts’ refusal.

"We’re not talking about a large number of documents. I know that other examinations, such as in the gas case, were prepared in one or two days. Here the experts apparently needed more than two weeks. All this means one thing – that the findings should be what the ruling government needs. Further evidence of this is the fact that the experts’ preliminary findings first appear on the website of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration and only afterwards in the court. I reiterate – serious pressure is being put on the experts," he said.
