Ukraine celebrates Day of State Flag today.

Ukraine celebrates Day of Flag
The holiday was established in Ukraine according to the Decree of President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, “On Day of State Flag of Ukraine” from August 23, 2004, № 987/2004.

In 2009 ex President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko introduced amendments into this decree, having founded annual official ceremony of hoisting State flag on August 23 all around Ukraine.
