Oleksandr Turchynov, one of the leaders of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, believes that Yanukovych`s government staying in power brings serious threat of the security to Ukraine. He said this to a news conference today.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, particularly, O. Turchynov claimed that the Ukraine`s debt to Russia for the delivered gas at 2.1 billion dollars was artificial.
O. Turchynov recalled, that, according to the statements of Ukrainian state officials, they plan to pay play back the debt directly with the gas from gas depositories. “At the beginning of the heating season, they try to leave Ukraine without gas. This is a conscious diversion against Ukraine and its energy security”, he said.
Moreover, O.Turchynov noted that the government of V.Yanukovych has not given yet any explanations on causes of the appearance of this debt. According to his words, the fact that the Prime Minister of Ukraine V. anukovych went directly to Moscow for solving this issue, indicates that “there was an alliance of the criminal world, non-transparent mediators and Ukrainian officials”.
O. Turchynov also said that the fact of concealment by the government of V. Yanukovych of the real state of the Ukrainian economics and inflation growth up to 12% is inadmissible. “That is why if the tenure of Yanukovych’s government continues, it will pose a threat to our state”, said O. Turchynov.
