Ukraine has never supplied Syria with weapons, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday in response to Western media reports, according to Xinhua.

"Ukraine strictly abides by its international obligations in the field of transferring goods of military purpose," said ministry spokesman Alexander Dykusarov during a briefing.

Dykusarov assured that his country does not supply weapons to any country in contradiction with UN Security Council security requirements.

Earlier on Tuesday, British broadcaster BBC reported that it has discovered crates with ammunition of Ukrainian origin in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

According to the report, three crates from the Luhansk Cartridge Plant in eastern Ukraine were addressed to Saudi Arabia.
