President wants MPs to protect national interests
President says what he thinks about the newly elected parliament
When asked what he thought about a recently formed alliance of parliamentarians “Stability in Ukraine,” Victor Yushchenko said he expected the newly elected deputies to work constructively and effectively, according to the President’s press-office.
“The March 26 democratic and fair elections enabled new political forces to climb the political Olympus. I would really like to see them act constructively. I want to see the Rada work efficiently and in unison with the government and the President,” he said.
Mr. Yushchenko reiterated that all the members of parliament should always protect national interests of Ukraine.
