Rybak elected Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Volodymyr Rybak elected Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 250 out of 424 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for this decision.

207 lawmakers from the Party of Regions, 32 lawmakers from the CPU and 11 out factional lawmakers voted for this decision.

Oleksandr Yefremov, who chairs at the sitting today, noted that he fulfilled his mission and invited V. Rybak to the presidium of the parliament.

V. Rybak took up the place in the presidium. All members of the temporary presidium of the parliament left the places in the presidium.

Employees of the machinery of the VRU gave a bunch of roses to V. Rybak.
