Today is Day of Unity of Ukraine

Den Sobornosri (Day of Unity) is celebrated in Ukraine today, on January 22.

This holiday is marked annually on day, when the Unification Act was signed on January 22, 1919 by the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic on the St. Sophia Square in Kyiv.

Day of Unity of Ukraine was established as a state holiday by the decree of the President from January 21, 1999.
