Latvia makes a significant contribution to the development of dialogue between Ukraine and the EU, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych. It was stated by the President in the course of joint press conference on the results of negotiations with Latvian President.
“Latvian support in our agenda with the EU is extremely important for us. I am pleased to note that Latvian leaders share our point of view regarding the necessity of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU as soon as possible,” Viktor Yanukovych said.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to Latvian President for gradual support of European aspirations of Ukraine.
“Our Latvian partners make an important contribution to the development of constructive dialogue between Ukraine and the EU which will facilitate greater progress in this issue,” the President noted.
In his turn, President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš stressed the importance of European course of Ukraine in its foreign policy. “I think that Ukraine has a lot of qualified specialists to solve all the issues and conduct all the necessary reforms in order to integrate in the EU,” he said.
