EP extends Ukraine monitoring mission to September
The European Parliament Conference of Presidents today unanimously decided to extend the mandate of the mission of former European Parliament President Pat Cox and former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski to monitor politically motivated court processes in Ukraine, according to official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.
"European Parliament Conference of Presidents agreed unanimously to extend Kwasniewski/Cox mission to Ukraine until September. Good decision," EP Vice President Jacek Protasiewicz posted on Twitter.
Former Co-Rapporteur of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Hanne Severinsen recently said that if the Cox/Kwasniewski mission is extended "it would be better if they give up the very diplomatic way they act."
