Chairman of Kyiv city state administration Oleksandr Popov not only believes that he has all grounds to take part in elections of mayor but he also is sure in victory.
He said this in an interview to “Segodnya” newspaper on May 24.
He noted that he had already voiced the decision to take part in elections of Kyiv mayor and this decision was considered and well thought-out . “I am not going to abandon my decision. Kyiv needs elections and democratically elected mayor, who, relying on confidence of Kyiv citizens, will stand up for their interests at all levels. I am doing it right now, but a support of citizens at elections will allow to reach more weighty results”, - he said.
O. Popov said that he hopes that all the candidates for the post of mayor will be worthy rivals.
