Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko remains on a hunger strike in solidarity with those protesting against the government’s suspension of Ukraine’s European integration, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"My mother has been on a hunger strike for eight days," Eugenia Tymoshenko told the press today after visiting her mother in the Kharkiv hospital.

Yulia Tymoshenko’s daughter thanked the democratic community for their support and urged them to continue to fight for her release. "I am urging the democratic community not to leave my mother in prison as this regime’s hostage and continue to monitor the situation and fight for her release. I am thankful to all the Ukrainians, thankful to all the people around the world who know that the truth is on her side, who are fighting for her release, and in this difficult time are fighting for Ukraine’s freedom from this regime," she said.
