Former prime minister and now political prisoner Yulia Tymoshenko has joined the Maidan Civil Movement, the creation of which was announced at today’s public assembly "One Country – One Maidan" on Independence Square in Kyiv, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

The public unanimously supported the joint political and civic initiative and approved the council of the Maidan People’s Union, which includes Yulia Tymoshenko.

The council of the newly created Maidan is composed of Serhiy Kvit, Ruslana Lyzhychko, Vitaliy Klitschko, Yuriy Lutsenko, Yulia Tymoshenko, Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Oleh Tyahnybok.
