Zakharchenko signs decree that allows Berkut to use weapons

The documents enters into force from the day of its publishing. Special subdivision is allowed to use force, special means and weapons.

Decree allows Berkut to use firearms

The decree of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine №1011 from October 24, 2013 – “On approval of Provision on special subdivision of militia of public security “Berkut” is registered in the Justice Ministry of Ukraine on 11.01.2014. The decree is registered in the Justice Ministry under number 19/24796”, LIGABusinessInform reports.

It is noted in the decree that in its activity the special subdivision is guided by Constitution of Ukraine, the laws of the country, acts of President, Cabinet of Ministers and regulatory base of the Interior Ministry.
