Some thousand people are picketing the session of the oblast council in Sumy at Nezhalezhnosti Square before the building of the session hall of Sumy Oblast Council.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, all entries to the premises of the oblast state administrations of the oblast and city council are blocked by militia. A big cordon of law-enforcement officers is standing before the entry to the session hall.
Now the session is taking place. At this session they are considering the issues concerning the budget of the oblast for 2014, plan of social-economic development and other issues, among which is the draft resolution of the oblast council on support of the actions of President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych, where activists of the EuroMaidan in Kyiv are called “extremists”.
