Kolesnykov explained why he was awarded

Asked by TV 5 Kanal why he was awarded with “For Merits” order in December of 2007, lawmaker Borys Kolesnykov explained it was on occasion of the 10th anniversary of “Konti” confectionary, which was founded by him “from zero”. At last, according to his information, this was written in the application for the award, which was submitted by the Donetsk Oblast State Administration.

On 27 December, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, commenting on awarding B.Kolesnkykov with “For Merits” order (the Decree #1162/2007), said that one of the Party of Regions leaders, namely, Borys Kolesnykov, took a constructive stand, having supported the democratic solution of the parliamentary crisis in Ukraine.
