The Prosecutor’s General Office of Ukraine vows to respond should politicians call on to separatism and splitting Ukraine at the convention of deputies of all levels in Severodonetsk on Saturday.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Oleksander Medvedko claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today, answering questions of journalists.
”If we receive any materials, indicating that the law is violated at this measure, of course, we will respond”, he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, II All-Ukrainian Session of All Levels Council Deputies will take place in Severodonetsk on March 1.
According to the information of the organizers, the forum proposes five topics for discussion: on violating rights of local and regional power bodies, on systematic violating rights of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine; on falsifications and revising the historical past of Ukraine; on the nonaligned status of Ukraine, and the attitude towards NATO.
The first convention of deputies of all levels took place in Severodonetsk as early as on November 28, 2004. That time chiefs of local governments, mostly from the eastern part of Ukraine, called on to violate the Ukrainian sovereignty, to split and create separate territorial units.
