The Council of Europe's Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2021 has been extended until the end of 2022.

That's according to Ukraine's Permanent Mission to the Council of Europe.

"On June 18, the CoE rapporteur's group on democracy approved a decision on the approval of a report on medium-term progress in the implementation of the CoE Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2021, as well as extending its validity until the end of 2022," Ukrainian diplomats wrote on Facebook.

It is noted that, during the meeting, emphasis was placed on the overall success of the implementation of the Plan's goals, as well as the importance of sustainable development in its further implementation, despite issues associated with Russian aggression against Ukraine and those caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The implementation of the Plan is coordinated by the Office of the CoE Directorate General for Programs with the assistance of the CoE Office in Ukraine, while its funding comes from donors.
