Kyiv Council deputy Vitaliy Klitschko would receive the biggest support of the citizens of the Ukrainian capital if the election of Kyiv City Chairman take place in March.

      These are the results of the poll, carried out by “Institut Goroda” analytical research center, and publicized by center director Oleksandr Sergienko at a news conference in UNIAN today.

      According to the results of the poll, some 29.8% of those polled would give their votes for V. Klitschko, some 14.6% of those polled would vote for incumbent Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi and some 9% of those polled would vote for previous city Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko.

      At the same time, if the second tour of the Kyiv Mayor election took place, with V.Klitschko and L.Chernovetskyi being the two candidates, some 52.3% of those polled would vote for V.Klitschko.

      Besides, according to the data of “Institut Goroda”, some 57% of respondents are not satisfied with the activities of L. Chernovetskyi on the post of Kyiv Mayor, while some 13% of Kyiv residents are satisfied with his work.

      The poll was carried out on February 22-25, 2008 in all districts of the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. 2011 of respondents aged over 18 years old were polled. The error margin makes up 2.2%.
