Tymchuk: Fighting continues near Shastya and Triohizbenka in Luhansk region

"Both sides are exchanging artillery fire and actively using their heavy infantry weapons. The movement of the armored hardware, up to seven units, has been observed to the north of Luhansk, in Kamenobrodskiy district," Tymchuk wrote.

"In addition, the activity of the Russian-backed insurgents has been recorded near Volnovakha, as they were trying to conduct ground reconnaissance of the Ukrainian forward positions with intelligence groups and using reconnaissance technology," he added.

As reported earlier, Tymchuk said Russian army troops and insurgents have been preparing for the active winter operations with the use of the tactic of operating in small groups.
