"As of 1300 the headquarters of the ATO had received reports of six cases of the violation of the ceasefire regime by the insurgents. The attacks were carried out with the use of artillery, automatic grenade launchers, anti-aircraft guns and small arms," the report reads.

"However, Ukrainian soldiers realize the importance of the moment and had the courage and endurance not to return fire on the positions of the insurgents in response to their attacks," the press center said.

The press center of the ATO headquarters denied claims by the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk Peoples’ Republics that Ukrainian forces had fired on villages near Horlivka during the first half of the day.

"These statements are intended to mislead the international community and divert its attention from the crimes that are committed by the insurgents in the occupied territories," the press-center of the ATO said.

"Attacks on the positions of [Ukrainian] forces have been recorded along the front line with the use of artillery, mortars and Grad multiple rocket launchers," according to a report posted on Tuesday on the Web site of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
