Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko claims that the Cabinet of Ministers has no intent to increase prices on natural gas for population and communal heat-power enterprises.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this to a press conference in the Cabinet of Ministers today.

“At first it is necessary to increase salaries, grants and pensions, and after that to increase gas prices for the population”, the Prime Minister said.

At the same time, Yulia Tymoshenko pointed out there are no grounds to increase gas prices for communal heat-power enterprises, because a contract was signed on supplies of natural gas to Ukraine in 2008 at a single fixed price – US$179.5 for a thousand cubic meters.
