Anatoliy Hrytsenko, ex-DefMin and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for national security and defense, criticizes the current Defense Minister Yuri Yekhanurov for lack of struggle against corruption.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, A.Hrytsenko claimed this in Zhytomyr at a meeting with local residents.

A.Hrytsenko pointed out that he, when being the Defense Minister, did not steal “not a kopeck, and namely fighting against violations of the law, against corruption, may unite the Ukrainian society”.

“When I used to head the Defense Ministry, I realized that in this system there could be violations, I fought with their consequences and created conditions to reduce them as much as possible”, he said.

According to him, if any violations of law, or any corruption was revealed, the people, connected with it, were sacked from the Armed Forces within three days without waiting for any court ruling.

“It was done in my times, and immediately halted when Yuri Yekhanurov occupied the post. Unfortunately”, A.Hrytsenko stressed.
