"First of all, we need a mobilization to hold a full-scale rotation and to send home those people, who are already physically and mentally exhausted. A year of this horror is a heavy burden," Biriukov said.

"Secondly, we need to understand that even if we win tomorrow and restore our territorial integrity, and sign all of the settlement agreements, the Russian Federation will not be going anywhere. We have a hostile country along our borders, and it has already showed its hostile intentions, despite its repeated beautiful words," Biriukov said.

"So all the time we need to train people who know how to use weapons, in order to defend our country," he added.
