Tymchuk: Militants attack Ukrainian forces near Donetsk
Russian-backed militants have been constantly shelling the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces over the last few days, Dmytro Tymchuk, the head of the Information Resistance group, reported on his page on Facebook on Thursday.
According to Tymchuk, the militants attempted to advance, forcing Ukrainian troops to conduct a partial redeployment.
"In addition, heavy fighting, with the massive use of artillery and armored vehicles, has continued near the village of Pisky," he said.
"On the highway through the village of Snizhe the enemy is continuing to send its forces and resources from the south into the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk and to the area of Yasynuvata-Spartak," Tymchuk said.
"On January 21, the militants significantly increased their combat capability, concentrating in the areas where their tactical groups are deployed," he added.
