Another scheduled stage of Army draft launched in Ukraine

A spring stage of military conscription has started in Ukraine, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 22/2019 of January 30, 2019.

The stage will last until June inclusive.

According to the document, male citizens of Ukraine over 20 years (under 27) of age who have passed medical examination shall be drafted, except those who eligible for deferment.

The government resolution says in April-June, 18,752 men will be drafted to the Armed Forces and other military units of Ukraine, including 9,000 to the Armed Forces, 600 to the State Special Transport Service, 4,000 people to the State Border Guard Service, and 5,152 to the National Guard of Ukraine.
