A total of 41,640 measles cases have been recorded in Ukraine since the beginning of 2019, of which 19,271 were adults and 22,369 children.

"Since the beginning of the year (from December 28, 2018 to April 18, 2019), 41,640 people have been infected across the country, including 19,271 adults and 22,369 children. Fifteen people have died from complications associated with measles," the Ukrainian Health Ministry's press service reported.
"According to the Ukrainian Health Ministry's Public Health Center, 2,141 measles cases, including 1,106 adults and 1,035 children, were recorded in Ukraine on April 12-18. Vaccination is the only reliable protection against measles, especially if there is an outbreak in your region," the report said.
The largest number of measles outbreaks was recorded in Kharkiv region (290 people: 216 adults and 74 children), Ternopil region (219 people: 57 adults and 162 children), Kyiv region (187 people: 116 adults and 71 children), and Lviv region (161 people: 41 adults and 120 children), as well as in the city of Kyiv (170 people: 88 adults and 82 children).
