EU donates 20 armored vehicles to OSCE mission in Donbas

A total of 15 armored [Toyota LandCruiser type] vehicles were delivered to Ukraine by plane from Tunisia at the expense of the European Union, from the mission for comprehensive EU Border Assistance in Libya.

Another five armored vehicles that were at one time used by the European monitoring mission in Georgia were also given to the OSCE's mission in Ukraine.

According to Apakan, these cars will improve the safety of the representatives of the mission and the conditions of their access to the monitoring objects in Ukraine, particularly in the east of the country.

"These cars have already demonstrated their ability to protect our observers," Apakan said.
