The government of Ukraine forecasts a record grain harvest in 2008 – not less than 40 million tons, and, probably, up to 50 million tons.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this today, speaking at the extended session of the government, devoted to summing up the results of its activities over the first 100 days of work.

“According to pessimistic estimations, we may speak about 40 million tons of grain and according to secret optimistic estimations of the Agricultural Minister, we may see up to 50 million tons of grain. God willing that everything goes the same as it goes now [as well as now – UNIAN]”, emphasized Yu.Tymoshenko.
