French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has visited the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

"Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has visited Chornobyl to state the completion of the construction of the Arc [New Safe Confinement], which now covers the destroyed reactor thanks to the unique solutions of French Groupe Bouygues and VINCI engineering," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont wrote on Twitter on June 1, 2019.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accepted the invitation from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to make a visit to Paris in the near future.
