Ukrainian military equipment of the future unveiled at new Kyiv exhibition (Video)
An exhibition of new Ukrainian high-tech military equipment held on Tuesday by the non-profit National Defense Foundation has shown the first results from 11 months of fundraising.
The encrypted communications devices, modified sniper rifles, aerial drones and special medical kits for use in combat that were presented at the exhibition highlighted the joint efforts of Ukrainian citizens, who managed to raise just over $139 million to help the military defend their positions in eastern Ukraine, Ukraine Today reports.
Crowd sourcing has proved to be effective in providing the Ukrainian army with all kinds of necessities for wartime, while the government struggles to obtain additional financial and military aid from abroad.
