Ukrainian news outlets report hacker attacks on their websites
Editors of Ukraine's Novoye Vremya (NV) and Depo.ua news outlets say their websites have been hacked as cybercriminals posted provocative material there.
In particular, Novoye Vremya said hackers had got access to its admin panel and replaced one of the articles with a fake news titled "Ukrainian soldiers is the major weak spot of Yavoriv Combat Training Center."
"The editorial staff of Novoye Vremya regards this as an open cynical provocation against both our news outlet and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Based on that, NV will appeal to law enforcement agencies," the report said.
According to Depo.ua editors, the news with the same title appeared on their website "retroactively" (dated August 26). The article criticized Ukrainian military, with reference to the fake blog of "American officer" Robert Tracy.
