National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has opened criminal proceedings against former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and former Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.

The relevant entry has appeared at the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations of Aug 23 after an investigating judge of Kyiv's Solomyansky district court was appointed, NABU told Hromadske.

At the same time, no further information is to be disclosed due to the need to maintain secrecy of pretrial investigation in accordance with Article 222 Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine.
