Ukrainian customs officers have revealed more than two tonnes of smuggled foodstuffs in a regular bus at the Shehyni-Medyka checkpoint in Ukraine's Lviv region on the border with Poland.

"Customs officers revealed illicit trafficking of 2,107 kilograms of food and 120 liters of milk during customs control of a bus at the Shehyni-Medyka vehicle checkpoint," the Lviv customs press service said on October 20.
As reported, a 27-year-old Ukrainian citizen, a resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, tried to smuggle the foodstuffs into Ukraine.
Undeclared goods were hidden in the bus's luggage compartment.
Reports on violation of customs rules have been issued, the press service said.
