Health Minister of Ukraine Zoriana Skaletskaya has assured the public Ukraine has sufficient stocks of diphtheria serum and vaccine.

Speaking with Hromadske, the minister said there were 5 million doses of vaccine for the adult population in Ukraine.

"As for the serum, the Indian Embassy handed over more than 60 doses. Besides, another 150 doses were received from UNDP, as we earlier said. So, in fact, today we have enough," said Skaletska.

At the same time, the minister noted that as of late November, no new diphtheria cases were recorded in Ukraine.

In the spring of 2020, Skaletska said, another 1,000 diphteria serum should be delivered to Ukraine.

As of the end of October, 20 cases of diphtheria were recorded in Ukraine throughout the year.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health assured that the situation with diphtheria is under control.
