Polish government presses Ukraine
To lift ban on meat import to Ukraine
Agricultural Policy Minister of Ukraine Oleksander Baranovskiy claims that the Polish government “has been pressing”, demanding to lift the ban on Polish meat import to Ukraine. He disclosed this in an interview to “Kontrakty” weekly.
“I may state that presently the government of Poland is pressing us, demanding to lift the ban on the meat import”, O.Baranovskiy said.
According to the Minister, “lately Polish smugglers have been suffering colossal losses, and have been trying to solve their problems through officials”.
The Minister recalled that the ban on the import of animal production from Poland, Moldova, and Belarus, was introduced after it appeared that “a huge inflow of contraband is going from Poland to Ukraine”.
