Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko claims that the Ministry has got information that highways may be blockaded by radical political forces if the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is dissolved.
Yuri Lutsenko disclosed this in an interview to “Delo” daily today.
“The Interior Ministry of Ukraine has information that radical political forces plan to blockade the traffic at highways on the day of the theoretical dissolution of the parliament. According to our information, they plan to put trucks in all the traffic routes at all the country’s main highways. A great number of activists may be involved”, he said.
Yuri Lutsenko stressed that the Interior Ministry will not make efforts to break up the action, and will not “pull out ‘KamAZ” trucks by force”. “It will be extremely difficult for the Interior Ministry to oppose to these actions. We cannot suppress it technically. That is why I would like to turn to the organizers through mass media. We will not disperse demonstrators and will not pull out “KamAZ” trucks by force. But we may institute criminal proceedings against the motor transport owners for blockading roads”, he warned.
At the same time, Yuri Lutsenko refused to disclose the concrete political forces, preparing the blockade of highways.
