Opening an expanded Govt sitting today, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated that the independent testing – is a progressive form of estimate of knowledge which minimizes corruption actions which are in any event associated with the sphere of education. According to the government’s press-office, thus, according to her, the independent testing should be introduced in Ukraine reasonably, gradually and professionally. “And God forbid, if we turn the fight against corruption into the fight against our own children. It cannot be tolerated,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
She noted that the first stage of independent testing which took place the day before had been completed calmly and 92,5% of pupils participated in it – “for today we can ascertain that the testing was calm”. At that Yulia Tymoshenko added that the Government would observe the following stages of independent testing and take decisions adequate to the situation: “depending on further events, depending on how many children pass testing, how many children will have passing scores, according to this we’ll take further decisions”.
