Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told a press-conference that the Government, within the framework of Ukraine’ preparation for holding a final of the European Football Championship in 2012 “has completed to introduce order in the method of airports’ ownership by the state and attraction of investors for terminals construction”. According to the government’s press-office, the Head of Government stressed that airports with strips would be kept under state ownership. According to her, the state also preserves all functions concerning security, navigation and managing.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, in accordance with the Government’s approved concept of reforming airports, agreements with investors and local authorities have been already achieved. “We have approached a direct way on gearing up for Euro-2012 and within the nearest months transparent and competitive procedures will be held concerning the attraction of investors for terminals construction in the cities hosting Euro-2012,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

At that the Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized efficient work in this direction of Vice Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunyk, Minister of Transport Yosyp Vinskyi who, according to her, “had succeeded to regulate all these issues and achieve a logical schedule of works”.
