Ukraine’s eventual joining NATO does not threaten any countries
Yushchenko spoke to British political circles
President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claims that Ukraine’s eventual joining the NATO Membership Action Plan does not pose any threat to any world countries, including Russia.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the President claimed this, speaking to representatives of British governmental, diplomatic, political, and informational circles in London on Thursday.
According to the Ukrainian President, the country’s integration with NATO corresponds to the national interests of Ukraine. “We do not task to steal a march on Russia or any other country”, said Victor Yushchenko, adding: “We are forming our own idea of security policy. Our integration with NATO is not a policy against Russia”, said the Ukrainian President.
