Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that the Prosecutor’s General Office of Ukraine brought the criminal case against acting head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Andriy Portnov under pressure of the Presidential Secretariat.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this at a press conference in the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday.
“After the NSDC session, they began to summon to interrogations officials, treasury employees, government representatives, including the SPFU leadership, who did not follow corrupt tracks. As of today, these people and their families have been nearly victimized on instruction of President”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
According to her, when the government began its session, the President invited the Prosecutor General to his cabinet, and, “using direct pressure, he forced him to bring the criminal case against A.Portnov and treasury employees”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
The Prime Minister believes that the criminal cases were brought not against the State Treasury and State Property Fund employees, but rather against her personally, against the government, and against introducing order in the country.
Yulia Tymoshenko noted she feels pain because of the President’s behavior, and because her “belief in people, who stood at Orange Maydan, began to destroy”.
